BIOPREN Pharaoh Ant Bait – the effective indoor solution!

BIOPREN Pharaoh Ant Bait is a ready-to-use bait can specifically developed for the control of pharaoh ants. Each can contains 2.5 g of granules containing the active ingredient S-methoprene (5 g/kg), an insect growth regulator. Its action directly in the nest inhibits queen egg-laying and disrupts larval development.

This way, the ant colony can usually die after about 12-14 weeks. The bait containers are housed in a transparent station, allowing easy monitoring of acceptance and consumption. For lasting success, the bait should remain in place for at least 3 months, even if the ants disappear sooner.

The 24-pack (2.5 g per can) is particularly suitable for large-scale use, e.g., in kitchens, utility facilities, hotels, hospitals, or generally rooms where Pharaoh ants are present.

Instructions for use of ant bait stations

• Placement: Position the bait station along the ant trail, with the opening facing upwards or to the side , but not directly onto the ant trail . Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms , and other affected rooms.
• Dosage: 2 bait stations per 20 m² area.
• Duration of effect: The bait is effective for 10–14 weeks . For optimal results, the stations should remain unchanged for at least 3 months —even if the ants disappear sooner.
• Replacement: Replace station if heavily emptied, damaged or wet.
• Important: Do not use other insecticides at the same time! Avoid contact with water.

Identification features

• Size: Very small, workers approx. 2 mm long
• Color: Yellowish to reddish with dark abdomen tip
• Queens: Larger (3.5–4.5 mm), often redder
• Risk of confusion: With other small ant species

Happen

• Originally tropical, but widespread worldwide
• In Central Europe only viable inside heated buildings

• Targeted bait placement: Along walkways, in hiding places, as close as possible to heat sources
