The Silvercheck monitor trap is an effective solution for monitoring and capturing silverfish and paperfish. Using a special attractant, the fish are lured onto a black adhesive surface where they reliably stick. The trap impresses with its discreet design, easy handling, and high effectiveness.

How does the trap work?

The included attractant is a precisely balanced mixture of various substances (initially smells a bit like fish) and is delivered in powder form. Each trap includes a small powder sachet – you receive 10 traps and 10 small attractant sachets.

Preparation of the trap:

1. Open the trap.
2. Remove the protective foil from the adhesive surface.
3. Carefully open the attractant sachet at one corner.
4. Sprinkle powder spotwise onto the adhesive surface – it will automatically stick. It is best to choose 6 points to apply the powder. The adhesive surface must remain largely free at the edges so fish can stick there.
5. Assemble the trap (insert tabs A into tab B).
6. Place in a suitable location (under/behind furniture, in areas with cracks and crevices, in the bathroom, etc.)

Where should the trap be placed?

Silverfish and paperfish prefer to stay in dark, hidden areas – for example, in cracks, behind baseboards, or under floor-length curtains. To achieve optimal results, traps should be positioned near such hiding places.
Thanks to the integrated adhesive strip on the underside, the trap can not only be placed on the floor but also attached to walls, baseboards, or tiles – excess powder may fall off – simply absorb it.

How long does the trap last?

The trap should be replaced as soon as the adhesive surface is completely covered or at the latest after 6 to 8 weeks.
