Silvercheck monitor trap against silverfish & paper fish

The Silvercheck Monitor Trap is an effective solution for monitoring and trapping silverfish and paperfish. A special attractant lures the fish to a black adhesive surface, where they reliably adhere. The trap impresses with its discreet design, ease of use, and high effectiveness.

How does the trap work?

The included attractant is a precisely balanced blend of various substances (it initially smells slightly fishy) and comes in powder form. A small powder sachet is included for each trap, so you'll receive 10 traps and 10 small attractant sachets.

Preparing the trap:

  1. Open trap.
  2. Remove the protective film from the adhesive surface.
  3. Carefully open the attractant bag at one corner.
  4. Sprinkle the powder onto the adhesive surface in specific spots – it will stick automatically. It's best to choose six spots where you want to apply the powder. The edges of the adhesive surface should remain largely clear so that the fish can adhere there.
  5. Put the trap together (insert tabs A into tab B).
  6. Place in a suitable location (under/behind furniture, in areas with cracks and crevices, in the bathroom, etc.)

Where should the trap be placed?

Silverfish and paperfish prefer dark, hidden areas—for example, in crevices, behind baseboards, or under floor-length curtains. For optimal results, traps should be placed near such hiding places.
Thanks to the integrated adhesive strip on the bottom, the trap can not only be placed on the floor, but also attached to walls, skirting boards or tiles - excess powder could trickle down - simply vacuum it up.

How long does the trap last?

The trap should be replaced as soon as the adhesive surface is completely covered or at the latest after 6 to 8 weeks.
