The Silvercheck Monitor Trap is an effective solution for monitoring and catching silverfish and firebrats. A special attractant lures the insects onto a black adhesive surface, where they are reliably caught. The trap stands out for its discreet design, ease of use, and high effectiveness.

How does the trap work?

The attractant included is a precisely formulated blend of different substances (it smells a little fishy at first) and is supplied in powder form. Each trap comes with a small sachet of powder, so you receive 10 traps and 10 small attractant sachets.

Preparing the trap:

1. Open the trap.
2. Remove the protective film from the adhesive surface.
3. Carefully open one corner of the attractant sachet.
4. Sprinkle the powder in small spots on the adhesive surface – it will stick automatically. We recommend applying the powder in 6 spots. Leave most of the area around the edges of the adhesive surface clear so the insects can get caught there.
5. Assemble the trap (insert tab A into tab B).
6. Place it in a suitable location (under/behind furniture, in areas with cracks and crevices, in the bathroom, etc.)

Where should the trap be placed?

Silverfish and firebrats prefer dark, hidden areas – for example, in cracks, behind baseboards, or under floor-length curtains. For best results, place the traps near these hiding places.
Thanks to the adhesive strip on the underside, the trap can be placed on the floor or attached to walls, baseboards, or tiles. Some excess powder may fall off – simply vacuum it up.

How long does the trap last?

Replace the trap once the adhesive surface is completely covered, or after 6 to 8 weeks at the latest.
